Dylan Smith Is Looking To Make A NAme For Himself

Despite being 6-foot-4, Dylan Smith is still growing into his slender frame. Running the one spot for his McGill-Toolen Yellow Jackets, Smith's recruitment has picked up due to his performance during the travel season. His added three inches from last year may have played a major role, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a good talent before.
Entering his junior year, the Mobile native was fairly young during the circuit as he recently just turned 16 years old. Rumors of reclassifying have circulated but as of now the young lead guard is focused on adding weight to his frame and leading his highly ranked 6A squad to the Final Four.

Playing alongside highly regarded Antonio "TJ" Lang Jr, Smith will be showcased in front of the numerous coaches who are recruiting the senior Lang whose ranked #7 in our current 2014 rankings. That may not be the only visits the Yellow Jackets will have this season, Smith has garnished some interest himself from several programs. The list includes Alabama, Auburn, Gardner Webb, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Lafayette, Northwestern St, Tennessee, Troy and UAB.
While he doesn't currently hold any offers, that may change in the near future projecting a great junior season for the lead guard as he will take on bigger role for McT who graduated three key players from last season.
"I feel like I'm the best guard in the state in my class. I've been working out with a personal trainer this summer and increased my vertical from a 25 to a 33." Smith said. "I also gained 17 pounds"
